5 Questions with After Eleven Apparel

Tell us a bit about yourself and what makes you tick!

I’m Morgan Gore, and I am the Founder and Creative Director of After Eleven Apparel. I am originally from New Jersey and moved out to California in 2007 for college and to further pursue my surfing career. I’ve been surfing since I was eleven and it’s had a huge influence on my brand.

What inspired you to start After Eleven Apparel?

I started my brand when I was a sophomore in high school after I started handing in projects for my graphic design class on tee shirts instead of paper. My friends wanted to wear the shirts and I kept making more as their popularity grew. The name didn’t have any significance when I picked it, but when people ask me I usually just let them put their own idea behind it.

What is your favorite item in your store and why?

My favorite item currently in the store would have to be the Summatime Tee because it literally has all of my best friends faces all smack on the front of it and it really encompasses the spirit of the After Eleven brand.

What’s your advice for someone who wants to create their own brand?

Have a clear plan and vision for your brand. Be prepared for success not to happen overnight and don’t underestimate the amount of work involved. Be bold and make your brand stand out - be inspired by what’s going on around you, but don’t rely on the trends of the moment. If you want it, make it happen.

What’s your favorite thing about Storenvy?

Well, I have a few favorite things about Storenvy! The dashboard is incredibly organized, easy to navigate and keep track of orders. Also, the way that the Storenvy Marketplace is socially driven makes it simple and easy for new customers to discover your brand.
