This was the exact turning point when grad student, Jamie Parsons realized there was a gap that needed to be filled in the professional attire market. Upon further research Jamie decided that the current apparel offerings offered by most shops were either too casual or too professional. It was then that Retro Academic was born.
Retro Academic is a shop that gives girls the option to wear sophisticated clothes that still have personality. Jamie was immediately drawn to the attire worn in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. “They know how to dress to look hot and smart” explains Jamie.
